The 2011 Youth Ministries Coordinator Fundraiser Fish Fry and Silent Auction was such a great success that we are going to do it again in 2012. The event will be held at Camp Summers & Manget on Saturday, February 18.
The menu for the event will be fried fish, fried chicken, hushpuppies, and all the other fixings. The meal will be served in the Dining Hall beginning at 12:30 until 2:00. Both eat in and take out options are available. Tickets will once again be sold in advance by members of the Board of Trustees and Epworth League Executive Committee. Tickets will be $10 each. You can also get tickets by contacting Deborah Westbury.
The Silent Auction will be held in the Tabernacle beginning at 11:00am. Bidders will have a variety of items to bid on including homemade items, gift certificates, and more. Bidding will be closed at 12:30 and items will be available for pick up after lunch.
The Fish Fry and Silent Auction are a fundraiser for the Youth Ministries Coordinator position. Deborah Westbury, the Youth Ministries Coordinator, serves the churches of the Eastern Conference of the Southern Methodist Church. She assists churches with their efforts to reach youth as well as working with our camp ministries. Her position is faith-based and relies on donations of individuals and churches for its continuation. Please mark your calendars and plan to come enjoy the fellowship on Saturday, February 18th.
